Your body has been holding it.
Let's help it let go.
Somatic Yoga Therapy is eight private sessions over four weeks, designed around your body, your history, and what you are ready to change. Calm your nervous system, ease long held tension, and shift patterns from the inside out.
You have tried to think your way out. Your body has not caught up.
This program is for people who are capable, self aware, and tired of carrying the same tension, the same pain, and the same reactions year after year. If any of these sound familiar, you are in the right place.
Chronic tension or pain. Back, neck, shoulders, or jaw that never fully let go, even after treatment.
Wired, anxious, or exhausted. A nervous system stuck on alert. Trouble sleeping, trouble switching off.
Patterns you understand but repeat. Therapy and insight helped, yet the old reactions still fire before you can stop them.
Recovering and rebuilding. After illness, injury, surgery, or a major life change, and ready to feel at home in your body again.
Group classes feel like too much. You need a practice built for you, at your pace, with full attention.
Not a workout. Not talk therapy. A third way in.
Stress, pain, and old reactions live in the body: in the breath that catches, the shoulders that brace, the gut that tightens before a hard conversation. Somatic yoga therapy works directly with that layer. We combine Iyengar informed therapeutic yoga, restorative practice, breath, iRest Yoga Nidra, and somatic inquiry so your body can learn, through experience, that it is safe to soften.
Therapeutic yoga. Precise, adapted movement and alignment to build strength and ease pain.
Nervous system regulation. Breath and restorative tools that help your body shift out of high alert.
Somatic inquiry. Turning toward sensation and emotion beneath a pattern, so it can change.
iRest Yoga Nidra. Deep guided rest that loosens the stories you no longer need.
Two sessions a week. One clear path.
Week 1: Arrive. A full intake of your history, pain, and goals. We map where your body holds stress and establish your baseline and breath.
Week 2: Regulate. Restorative and breath practices that teach your nervous system to settle, so deeper work feels safe.
Week 3: Inquire. Somatic inquiry and Yoga Nidra to meet the patterns underneath your tension and reactions, and loosen their grip.
Week 4: Integrate. Strength, stability, and a personal practice you can carry forward on your own, long after we finish.
Everything is built for you.
No recordings of someone else’s class. No one size fits all sequence. Each session responds to how you arrive that day.
Eight private 60 minute sessions, live on Zoom, twice a week for four weeks.
An in depth intake covering your health history, pain patterns, and goals.
A personalized home practice that grows with you each week.
A custom guided Yoga Nidra recording to use between sessions and beyond.
Nervous system tools you can use anywhere: at your desk, in the car, before sleep.
Weekly check ins by email and text, so you are supported between sessions, not on your own.
Your guide: Michelle Kronenberg, C-IAYT
I am a yoga therapist who has lived the healing journey myself. For more than 30 years I have guided people through pain, trauma, anxiety, and recovery, drawing on deep study of yoga, meditation, and self inquiry. That path took me to India to study with B.K.S. Iyengar and Pattabhi Jois, and to a temple in northern Java. I also trained in hands on healing and energy work, including shiatsu and reflexology, as well as Somatic Experiencing, and I hold a master’s in Spiritual Psychology.
My own body has been my deepest teacher. I navigated an undiagnosed brain injury, and later survived and recovered from a brain aneurysm. Recovery taught me what I now teach: you cannot stretch your way out of a lifetime of protection. The body lets go when it feels safe.
What I offer is not a technique. It is close attention to you: what your body is saying, what it needs, and how it can begin to trust itself again. I do not try to fix you. I help you turn toward what is happening inside, so the calm that was always there can return.

Before you begin
Do I need yoga experience?
No. Every session adapts to your body as it is today, whether you have practiced for decades or never stepped on a mat.
What do I need at home?
A quiet space, a device with Zoom, a mat or rug, and a few blankets and pillows. I will show you how to use what you already have as props.
Can I join if I am in pain or recovering?
Yes. Much of my work is with people living with pain, injury, or recovery. We work gently and within your limits. If you are under medical care, check with your provider before starting.
Is this a replacement for therapy or medical care?
No. Somatic yoga therapy complements medical and mental health care. It does not replace diagnosis or treatment.
What if I miss a session?
Let me know at least 24 hours ahead and we will reschedule within the same week.
